Any deals around on gravel bikes?

I had a cyclocross bike nearly ten years ago and it was great fun, so I'm getting a bit gravel curious and wondering if there's anything decent out there in the sales?

Ideally I want something with a double as I'm not so convinced about 1 x for gravel, preferably something that's good for 50/50 road / gravel rather than something monstercross-style, as I've already got a very light short travel XC bike

I've been looking for a while (for a deal on a gravel frame rather) and not found much.

That said this Merlin fits your requirements of road-ish geometry. Single ring though, I'm not sure there's many/any gravel bikes still specced with doubles.

Take a look at Sonder, but I can recommend the On One Freeranger - at it can fit a 2x, just not sold with a 2x groupset.

That Merlin is a bit too tight for tyres for me.

I've been looking at the Boardman ADV 9.0 - not reduced much from RRP of £1875 as they seem popular - Tredz have them (no mediums) for £1675) or Halfords have £150 off when spending over a grand.

Sub 1kg carbon frame and pleasing to the eye (mostly - not too sure about the intentionally bent/flexy seat stays)

some amazing deals on Giant currently, I have this week bought a Revolt X with 40% off rrp.

subsequent posters will tell me it'll crack and I'll never get it warrantied as I put air in the tyres....

I think you'll find a better deal buying new, rather than used for Gravel bikes as they are 'in trend'. Used seems to still be attracting a premium.

I bought last summer. Ended up with a used CX bike, with canti's for a very good price - reason was I already had a spare rim braked wheelset. It's now my winter road bike, climbing bike and mud fun muck about bike.

Used, disk braked gravel bikes were, and still are, attracting a 'premium'.

How tall are ya? Lyon are selling off their remaining Bombtrack stock. They've only XL left now, but I picked up a steel Hook EXT for a ridiculous £765 (Carbon is a couple of hundred more) https://www.lyonequipment.com/bikes

(And yeah, I know it's at the chunkier end of gravel so not quite what you'd asked for … )

Loads of deals around, especially on higher end stuff. Defo a good time to buy a new bike finally! Been hankering after a Topstone for ages, Sigma had them at a big discount plus free £1k carbon wheels! (Not anymore though lol). I wanted Lefty version though - found & just ordered one this week at 50% discount. (They only had one left!!)

ive got a hook ext carbon and although it'll do more than an out and out gravel racer it's light, comfy and a great ride. if you can get one for £1000 I'd say that's bargain of the year! I'd buy another one tomorrow if I broke mine.

Have Lyon finished distributing bikes or just Bombtrack? No Bombtracks in my local bike shop any more either.

@burko73 Just Bombtrack. Mine is my second, the first one being a size too small so got rid.

@madedgar, I used to run mine with 700/32s on as a winter road bike but haven’t tried it with wider yet. Rides well. The steel will only go up to a 40 rear and I fit 38 on my cross bike so have used that to date.

I think the carbon one will fit wider. FWIW I’m  told the carbon one is the same open mold as Planet X and cheaper Ridley’s use.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. That Warroad is exactly what I'm after but they don't have my size in stock.
