Any way of removing the brown copper antisieze compound from my nice new seatpost or is it forever going to have a brown stain around it when I put it up and put it down?

I used Mr Sheen and a microfibre cloth only yesterday to remove anti-seize from a Ti post and also a Fizik saddle.

Worked a treat.
