Yeah, that was what came to mind with me too.
I do like the skinny look of steel frames. What I don't like about most of the steel full sus frames it that the shock is mounted on the down tube. I like to have the option of being able to mount a bottle cage within the front triangle.
What you need is a swarf. I'm not a fan of the starling/myth/curtis/orange shock mounting, even less of a fan with a yoke, the extra side bending on the shock is going to do it no favours at all.

Yes I do like those Swarf bikes. I've been impressed with Adrian's designs since the curve full suss. Unfortunately having two teenage daughters I have little in the way disposable income. Or I'd be riding one.
Still love my OG DMR Bolt Long. It's not as LL&S as more modern bikes (only 67ha and 73sa) but it's a still a blast to ride, and nigh on indestructible.
I'm a big fan of the engineered/agricultural look of these raw steel bikes, btr pinner stands out most of all to me, though it'll have to be from the 2nd hand market for me to have one.
Swarf looks really good too and he's been doing a lot of work to get the suspension right.
I like it, but the swingarm does remind me of one of those Marins from around 2000.

Agree about the front triangle though. I can't fit a bottle anywhere in my medium Rocket. Kinda sucks.
Still not willing to go 29 wheels either.

The Swarf Contour is the best looking full suspension bike I’ve ever seen. I’d love to own one some day. Not only does it look great it also seems ideal for the UK too. Sensible amount of travel, we’ll thought out cable routing and with widely available bearings.

I’m sure Curtis would happily add bottle cage mounts higher up the downtube for you. It looks like you might be able to fit a bottle in there depending on what size frame you get.
I like the idea that they’ll tweak the geo on their bikes for you so I could have a nice 63* HA
Yep, and they'll still build their older stuff. Think they said they would do a 26" XR if someone asked for it.
