Looking to make my old yeti a bit more ‘trail’ friendly. No idea about anglesets, can I fit one to my bike, and if so what’s the max I can slacken it off?
Are there any downsides? I fitted an off set bushing to my trance a while back and it made it a pig to climb
If not, what’s good? Works, or are the superstar ones ok?

No idea which one you’ll need for your frame, but I’ve never found a downside to slackening a bike by a degree or 2, only improvements. All my bikes that have been slackened haves been better downhill with no loss of performance on the flat or uphill.

That would have also slacked out your seat tube angle, which would/could have made climbing worse.
Doing the headset will steepen your seat tube angle as well as slacken the head angle, which in my experience is a good thing.
If you have a standard headtube, not one with integrated bearings, then yes a -2deg headset from Superstar will be a great idea.
Might be an idea to bump the fork travel up 10mm at the same time, unless you felt the BB was high in the first place.
Any way of telling what headset I have without dismantling the bike. It looks integrated to me
Manual says it’s a tapered inset headset (44/56) whatever that means?
