No connection to the guy, but picked one of these up at Fort William for £30 ( a bit more online)

Real handy bit of kit for when a full workshop stand is too much. Great for washing the bike, lubing chain, wheel out work etc.

Like I said, no connection, just giving a sound guy a bit of a plug

you scatch the paint on the stand a little by pedalling but theres nothing stopping the pedals turning, plenty of clearance.

I think i remember seeing a stainless version.

What happens when you take the wheels off? Does the frame then pivot around the BB axle, or is it held in position?

Plenty of clearance to spin the pedals. If you take the back wheel off, it tips forward to rest on the front wheel and vice versa if you take the front off it tips onto the back. If you take both off, it tips forwars to rest on the front dropouts, either ways, its better than tipping the bike upside down. I got the "prototype" MkII version that has a slightly bigger footprint, is a bit taller and gives more pedal clearance, but its only becuse I ride a 29er and wanted a bit more height. The MkI is fine for 26" wheels (and 29" in most cases). Best 30 quid I've spent in ages.
