Would be interested to hear of anyone experiences of these and especially how well the rear hub (geared) freewheels in relation to any other hub. From experience I have found that XTR rear hubs probably freewheel better than most once you have worn then in with after a few thousand miles.

I use them on my MTB race bikes and have had no problems with them. They are light and use small bearings and the sealing isn't great, but it's pretty easy to change the bearing races and they're cheap, so not really a big deal.

Footflaps - Thanks for the info, how long have you been running them ?

Old ones needed a bearing change every couple of months which was a pain. new ones are a little better sealed, but if I were to have some again I'd go for ceramic bearings for a little more corrosion resistance and longer life.

The freehub works a treat though, and doesn't seem to suffer from water/grit ingress and they're bloody light!

I wonder how the 135 x 12 would hold up to my level of abuse?

Perhaps I should just buy a DT Swiss 440 Freeride?

Been running a couple of sets of am classics over the past few months and been very impressed. Bearings are still super smooth and the wheels are very fast
