Don't really need it as a super strong bash guard for fending off rocks, more for chain retention with the MRP.

Lighter the better (price dependant obv.) for 38th Ring.

Can find whoever it was that was selling the Ti ones.

I'd check out Gamut, their double-chainguide-and-bash is lighter than most people's bashrings or chainguides alone. The bashring's still tough enough to take a knock though (I had a Superlite, which weighed even less but unfortunately folded up like a pringle the first time it touched a rock and completely jammed the chain)
