I'm loathed to spend the best part of a ton on a Mobi, but are there any decent alternatives out there? Needs to run off the 12v socket in my car, and not run silly pressure.
I've been using a garden sprayer thing, but it's a bit tedious/crap...

Was going to suggest garden sprayer - far cheaper, saves car battery power and does a decent job - depends on how clean the bike needs to be though - I used to use one and would spend about 2 minutes with it - got the largest bit of clag off...now I just horse it in the car with a tarp down or stick it on the roof and wash it down when I get home.
Garden sprayer would be my choice if I was needing to give the bike a quick clean up after a ride.
I got a Whale 12v portable pump kit and a big jerrycan. Brilliant. They do a kit with everything you need, or if you've got some tube, a nozzle and can sort out a cigar lighter connection you can just get the pump for a load less. Check out camping and caravan shops.
