Just been searching for spares and finally found some original Shimano but at £43 a pair!
Uberbike have unfinned options but they have Kevlar, semi-metallic sintered and race matrix. Also found the Trickstuff power pads available. Normally ride Shimano sintered due to local gritty conditions and the inevitable Devon wet weather, combined with 92kgs of fat bloke. Anyone tried the Uber ones? And if so recommends for which pads to go for?
Had a similar question the other week and bought 4 pairs of race matrix on UB's ( and Tracey's) recommendation. Not used 'em yet so no idea if they are good.

Uberbike Kevlar and Race Matrix grace our Magura MT5's, Shimano Deore 4-pot, XT 4-pot, Acera 2-pot, Deore 2-pot, Tektro road ones (2x different models).
They just work. Kevlar seem to warm up a bit better (ideal for road), RaceMatrix best for ultimate grab and heat.
All quiet when running (apart from slight squeal on cold road pads) and never had any complaints.
I've been using Uber Race and Kevlar in the Alps all summer for the last few years. I find them to be excellent. I'm light, but we're talking 100k metres of descent each trip. Admittedly the weather tends to be good!
I've given up on the finned replacement pads as I found them too fiddly to replace, especially mid ride.
Never had a squeel from either compound. The Kevlars last almost as long as Race for me.
I am now on Galfer ones, the standard compound...very powerful for my 73kg, too much for my taste!
Your thread has reminded me I have some Uberbike Race Matrix pads bought months ago that I still need to fit. I don't suppose you can also remind me where I left them? 😀
I bought Nukeproof ones from CRC when I had Deore brakes.
Race matrix are amazing, the stock Shimano were shite
I found uber bike race matrix to be good except for the 'big' end of riding. Long descents requiring extended periods of braking in the lakes, 600m vert lost to mandatory braking switch backs in Spain etc... I found in those circumstances they were a bit prone to fading even with a finned backing plate, but I am 92 kgs.
Prefer the blue E-bike version now. I've not had any fade from them since I switched.
