In the market for a new set of Allen keys and have seen sports pursuit doing the fancy looking wera ones. Anybody any experience of these? My current teng tools set have lasted me well but a couple are starting to get worn.
They'll get quite a bit of use as I fix a lot of my mates bikes.
Any other recommendations?
Bondhus
Bondus for me and the shops I've worked in
bondhus too
Sports pursuit have good deals on wera at the moment, great quality tools. I've also got a set of superstar T bar allens, and they are surprisingly good quality.
Wera are usually decent, haven't used that set though. But another boring +1 for Bondhus, very nice and not too expensive.
I'd stick with Teng. If you feel they've worn unreasonably fast, use the lifetime warranty.
You can only buy Allen Keys from Allen for Hex keys, Wera are really nice, as are Bondhus
Might chance these wera ones.
As for the fact that only Allen make Allen keys seems a tad pedantic. Have you never used the term Hoover instead of vacuum cleaner, or jeep to describe a 4x4 or perhaps called a box cutter a Stanley knife?
Think bondus were first with the all end hex key though
I do have some Allen branded socket Allen keys and they are ok but not worth the money over teng or gedore
I have those wera ones, albeit not multicoloured. Got them earlier this year after posting similar question here. They seem pretty good and a good deal on sports pursuit
My favourite Hex keys are the Beta orange power handle ones.
I have those Wera hex keys and use them daily in the shop, much better quality than the usual park tools/pedros etc.
I've had them for 2 years and they are my go-to for quick jobs where i can spin the hex key, for other jobs i prefer to use Wera hex bit and driver.
