Any long term users here yet?
What toothed front/rear rings are you using?
Can they really take a hammering, fit and forget solution to muddy, service free use?

fit and forget - yup
take a hammering and mud - yup, scottish weather/terrain and the alps
i was using a betd 32T with a 20T to give a good spread of gears.
i sold it on mainly because of the weight.

Was the extra weight in the rear, really noticeable?

I didnt find that it affected the handling too adversly jumping was a bit real wheel happy.
i found the bike was sluggish, traction was good though.
im too much of a weight weenie at heart - im now riding a scandal with an XT/XTR/hope mix
