What do owners think of them? enough light? weight? Any issues?

My HID seems to have died, was thinking maybe time to change to LED.

I've got the SL2.

It's excellent.

The switch on the SL1 is a pain, as it remembers its last setting, and goes to the next one when switched on again, so you have to toggle it ON-OFF-ON-OFF-ON-OFF-ON to get back to where it was before. This doesn't matter if you leave it on all the time, but I switch mine off quite often for photos.

No other probs though, and plenty bright enough ๐Ÿ™‚

had SL1, now got SL2. SL2 much better. Neither have much penetration though, very flood-y. Fine when combined with a decent spot

I've got an SL1.
Very floody beam. OK on the bars for slow to medium speed riding, I soon run out of light when going flat out downhill, so I combine it with a halogen helmet mounted spot.
This combo works for me.
Battery life is good. I can do a 2 hour night ride and a 45 minute commute on one charge.
Lamp and mount are robust but one of the velcro straps on the battery has started to split in two.
Just weighed mine on the kitchen scales, 410g.
HTH.

I've noticed mine is a bit floody as well. Any way of improving/replacing the refector?

Combined with a helmet light (ebay cree thing) it's perfect. You'll need a helmet light anyway, to see round corners and jumps, drops etc.
