I've been looking forward to going to Les Arc all year and on the weekend I put my back out. I'd hoped that it would be better by friday, but I can hardly walk, so have had to admit it is not going to happen. Totally gutted. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

Gutted for you.... but perhaps now's the time to give up the mtb and get yourself a good old steel touring bike.

Got many years before I start riding tourers Taylforth. When I get to your age (70+) I will consider it.

I've been to an osteopath and he has said there is no chance. Am taking co-codamol at the moment.

Gutted, do you know what the problem is? Slipped disk? Or less serious? I suppose it's not worth the risk either way.

I did the same a couple of days before 2 weeks diving in the Maldives, lost a lot of money and spend over 5k getting my back fixed privately while I should have been underwater. Still smarts. My back was totally ****ed tho.

That is bad luck, we are heading there Saturday and one of our lads has done the same, he is out doing a gentle ride now and deciding on then....

Feel for you ..

A mate of mine is in the same position and about to leave for Les Arcs too. What a huge and crap coincidence ๐Ÿ™

Its not much of a pleasing prospect to splash out on being a chalet maid for a week or two.

Facet joints in my lower back are massively inflamed and have possibly irritated the disk in between. Good news is I will only be out for about 3 weeks, rather than months if I had a bulging disk.
