I've had a very productive day 😀 My bike,which has had a series of creaks clicks and grinding noises,has had the drivetrain stripped and cleaned,new bottom bracket,shifting re-indexed,seating and handlebar position reset,and forks and shock reinflated and adjusted.All is now quiet and peaceful,and it works fine again.Oh the joys of home mechanicking.

That creak hasn't gone until you've done a proper ride on it. I've been caught out basking in the glow of a bike I thought I'd silenced when half way up a climb you start to hear the beginnings of a possible noise and a few miles later the only sound in your world is that damn creak that wasn't there when you'd just put the bike back together...
