... off on a solo mini road trip tomorrow to sample the delights of Afan and Brechfa.
So if anyone spots a solo rider on a gold turner 29er say hello!
Paul...
will do
Mind you're not blinded by it though - it's a bit bling...
I had originally wrote that it would be easy to spot but decided that was rude 🙂
It's not that bling.
:o)
Having a cracking time. Brechfa tomorrow.
Pendhydd and the Wall on Friday, the first in glorious sunshine, and the second in torrential rain.
Took it a bit easy today and just did White's Level for the first time- cracking trail.
Loving the Turner...
We did CwnCarn XC Down on Friday in the light rain, using the uplift to avoid climbing 🙂
Yesterday did W2, really good trails, lot's of happy riders around so that was nice, no incidents in our group, and the weather was spot on.
Nice one forge- did I see you? :o)
Today was Brechfa... Red in the AM and the Green/Blue in the PM.
A complete hoot. Nothing there is amazingly technical, but the singletrack has been put together very well.
Some really steep bermed corners on the red are great corkscrew style fun. Flowing rather than rocky is the order of the day. Lot's of bouncy jumping opportunities.
The green/blue is a cracking route too- designed for beginners, but ride it at speed. and it could get very dangerous.
Didn't do the black, but I'll be back...
Nice area too- not as crowded as Afan, but limited facilities. Nice pub near the red route, and chatting to the owner, found that they are going to have a cottage to rent between the two trail heads. Interesting!
I'm officially knackered. Stairs are becoming a struggle.
Still going to try and hit either whites level or the shortcutted skyline on the way home though.
