Off for a day trip on Friday and was planning shooting to Afan with a mate, but thought I'd have an ask and see if anything major is open/closed etc ?

I've not been for several years now despite once being a regular, so looking forward to it ๐Ÿ™‚

I've been twice in the last 2 weeks and everything has been open from what I saw/remember.

Did Blade and Whites Level on Saturday gone and although they were incredibly wet with rivers running along the trails, they were perfectly ridable.

My riding buddy isn't quite up to full speed at the moment on the climbs so we may end up doing W2... Will be long enough but not too brutal I rekon. If we start at the top centre it then means our climb back is just the fairly tame one up the river.

Just had a hailstorm 5 minutes ago.

Yes, it will very probably rain and be a little colder than of late.

All the trails drain very well though, the only exception being some sections in the wooded part of the Blade trail.

Regards

Denis

Had an absolute blast... Despite Whites climb still being hard... it was a top top day and we asked ourselves time and time again (especially when eating a mass of flapjack and bacon) "why on earth don't we come here more often"

We'll be back sooner rather than later.
