I'm loving the LESfat, my lightest bike, and fat (27lbs) but I can't completely open it up on rocky rooty fast descents.....it just bounces the shxxxxt outa me, whatever the tyre pressures....any opinions on wether the weight gain is worth it??
For fast rocky descents, yes. Anything else, not worth it IMO
Sorry, this is original post, somehow it got posted twice.
IMO transforms Fatbike into true all rounder,
Ran rigids on OOF now have 120mm blutos on ICT. Tyre pressures are critical Running 7.5 rear and 8.5 front with 4.8 tubeless Lou,s
I like riding my fatty rigid, but fitting Blutos has as per Daves post above, really turned it into an all rounder. I'm still learning when it comes to tyre pressures which play a big part. However the Bluto's really made general trail riding faster. I wouldn't necessarily say it made it more enjoyable, just different. One thing i have found is that the Bluto's need (for me anyway) some form of bottomless tokens. In fact I'm waiting for mine to arrive as they are very linear and I either blow through the travel or if increasing the air pressure completely counter the point of having them.
