Why do you need such a thing?

They do maps and the trails are marked!

Thanks, they 'just' seem to have/do maps, which might have to do.

I want to see where they go exactly to fit into a bigger ride, ducking off to explore other trails, and it makes it easier to re-find the trail. It's quite easy to get lost in the forest when you leave the trail to explore ๐Ÿ˜•

Not many "other" trails @ Ae except for a few created for Enduro events and they tend to be rather steep!
If you register on the 7Stanes you can download an app and maps which are good to use I'm reliably informed. However go off map and you are lost!

This I know ๐Ÿ™„ However I have used old fashioned maps for many a year. There are quite a few new, unmapped roads in Ae to accommodate the wind farm.

However if you wish to explore the hills around Ae, like this;

You will need OS78

I don't but if you do some googling then I'm pretty sure that you will find them on one of the gps map sites that lets you download. Would be easy in Strava if you are or know a premium member.

I'm not but when I want a map like that it must take all of ten minutes to redraw it from Strava onto bike hike using satellite view.

Pretty sure Innerliethen XC is a segment (which I am near the top of :wink:).

You can easily combine GT with Innerliethen to make a longer route. There is also the stuff by the golf course.

Check out the Minch Moor ride, that goes over the Three Bretheren, it's a good XC loop - takes in the Inners XC ride too.

Be aware though, a lot of Inners XC is closed for forestry at the moment.
