Cafe is your best bet, try buying one of the locals a cuppa - you might even get a guided tour!

Have a look on Strava, most of the stuff is pretty easy to find.

If your just looking for trails that have been used in races then I imagine they will be on Strava so should be pretty simple to find.

Cub in the shop will point you where to go I imagine. The runs used in the races are pretty wet. 97 into ukge corners are fairly good and popular. And ses into turndown for what is another one. Both start from the top of downhill course.

I'll second what potts says, 97 is actually one of my favourite trails, but a lot of people utterly despise it's very existence!

I know a few people who created the 97 trail on.....'97 ๐Ÿ˜‰
Original DH trail was in Mabie before DH became popular locally.

TBH finding starts from the top of the dh road is dead easy but actually following the lines, not so much, I get lost without tape ๐Ÿ˜† Some brilliant stuff though.

If you do the trail centre lap, then instead of going all the way down omega man, turn off after the big rubbly berm section and short sharp climb onto the fire road... I think this is post 28? The main trail from there down is actually one of the best bits of ae (ie, it's alright) so it's kind of a shame to miss it but the trail that goes down the hill on the right is a wee belter.

(just had a look and it doesn't seem to be its own strava segment but check out SES 2014, stage 3)

Ae is a very busy place these days all year round. Between the uplifts people riding the stuff used in races and other non marked trails it's got a good vibe going. Along with the cafe being pretty awesome run by a local family with sons that race at a high level it's got a lot going for it.

Agreed Alan, no matter the weather or month it's always got people out riding, great stuff.

Hello people, I'm up on Saturday, wondering if anybody will be around morning time planning to ride some enduro! And if me and my mate could tag along?
