Ordered the 10 speed XT groupset for £270 on Thursday evening

£4 to ship from Germany & it's with me today [It came at the same time as the brakes I ordered from Merlin on 21/4]
How good is that?

I got 64 Revolution spokes from them for (significantly) less than trade, and they sent me 10 spares!

I'm waiting for my first order from them, ordered saturday. Sounds like good service. Can't wait to get my box of goodies. It's like christmas every day in my house.

Ordered a 10spd XT group off them about 6 weeks ago, on a Friday night. It was here the following Tuesday morning! Quicker than CRC or Merlin these days!

Nope.

That £270 for the XT kit is stupendously close to what Madison are offering it to dealers at. In fact, after VAT is taken off the £270 you would struggle to buy a round of drinks for 6 people with the profit...

Well my mis-order has been changed - I asked "sprechen sie english" - "Of course" he said - I explained that I mis-ordered the wrong diam seat post - he said - you have already sent an email - I was amazed that he had read the email before I had a chance to phone! All sorted - Very impressed so far 🙂

they are very very good. I bought XT hubs and revolution spokes from them for miles less than I could have got them all from in the UK for my cheap race wheel set.

I ordered from superstar, actionsports and CRC all on the same day and they delivered in that order. actionsports send you a tracking number so you can see it all the way to your door in virtual realtime. really good.

Nope.

"rip off britain" doesn't just involve the margins retailers are making. Arguably the retailers have nothing to do with the issue at all - how much exactly is Madison skimming off? Of course Actionsports kit may well be grey market stuff (in the same way a lot of CRC stuff is/was) which makes a significant difference.

@aracer - most budget online retailers are OEM anyway - so no difference there !

Shimano Europe are based in the Netherlands IIRC, so probably cheaper to ship to Germany.

What's the deal with suspension fork warranty if you buy from them? Is it return to Germany or send to Uk service centre eg Fishers?

You'd usually have to deal with the warranty through the retailer

It's not too bad shipping to Germany as opposed to - say - Slough
In fact, if my recent dealings with the PO are anything to go by, it'd be a damn sight easy and quicker

I shouldn't have thought it cost any more to ship from Madison to UK LBS than it does from Shimano Europe to Germany 🙄
