Got up early and rode up to the Dyke with my board. An ambition i've had for ages has now been successfully achieved! And i might now be brave enough to attempt the drop off from the old cable car pylon base on my bike (i'll wait till summer though...). ๐

ace
ace - We were discussing on whether to bother hiking up from the fork in the road on the way up to the dyke today. Decided against it. Loving the snowboarding with you bike on your back! Ace!
This is the best I could muster this weekend - never thought I'd be kiteboarding on the downs.....

Jimbo, v cool! I went and had a hot choccy and a toasted ciabatta sandwich in a cafe in town afterwards. Was proper knackered from climbing hills without chair lifts and beating a path through drifts. It felt just like the Alpine winter holiday that i'm unable to afford this season ๐
Never mind; ambition achieved! ๐
That's superb Banjo. That's inspired me to go up there tomorrow now. If I freeze to death it's YOUR fault !
Only got my bike though, be interesting to see if I can get all the way to Woodingdean and home, using the South Downs Way.....
The Slider, good luck mate! It's tough going. There are knee- (and some waist-) deep drifts up there.
I must say that the novelty of riding (or rather, flopping about) in ice and snow is wearing off... Bring on springtime, bluebells and dry singletrack!
Awesome.
