I know it's getting close, but we've been let down on some accommodation. I'm now trying to find something for 5 people for a week starting 13th July (or as many nights as possible) on or near to alpe d'huez.
Anyone got any ideas on somewhere to stay? We'd ideally like a self catering apartment.

Or check out the campsites (some will have a minimum 2 week booking) there's a list on the Oisans tourist board website.
Pierre et Vacances or Maeva may be an option.

Good luck... There is going to be around 500 thousand people in the area... tent might be the best option.
As above you may have missed the boat for accommodation within a 30 mile radius, even finding a square meter of grass to pitch a tent will be a struggle, however i can highly recommend these guys but suspect they were full days after the route was announced:
