[Closed] AC - Lower Quarry Trail - Could it be reversed?

I have ridden around AC a few times now. I can't help think that riding down Lower Quarry Trail, as a fun and fast alternative to descending the Upper Quarry Trail, would give better value than riding up it. Could one not re-ascend to the top via the gravel road instead?

I guess some folks will be do this unofficially once night riding kicks in.

What do you think?

Before the new trais were built I occasionly roade the lower quarry in reverse as a faster but less involved alternative to the upper.
Now with the more purpose built trails I guess the chances of a head on collision is higher as would scorn from other users. It's not going to be a better alternative to the upper anyway.

Exactly what ^ he said, plus every bit of incline is welcome on what is a relatively flat course in fact I normally pass the entrance to the lower quarry trail down the gravel track and climb the zig zags and then join the trail.

I wouldn't be keen on a multidirectional trail in AC - it's way too busy and way too fast now.

I guess if they added another "up" route that was more rooty and technical I wouldn't mind having the option back down, but (surely?) the upper trail is miles better, so it wouldn't get used much.

I'd like the developments on the Rim Trail/Don't Look Down to be reversed... ๐Ÿ˜•

I haven't seen it, but surely it's not that bad?

Judging by the rest, it will be smooth - I'll give 'em that.

I don't have a problem with a blue trail in Leigh Woods, but I wish they'd left that corner alone - I like roots! Still, one man's singletrack is another man's bermed access path. And vice versa. ๐Ÿ˜‰
