I'm looking at replacing the bar and stem on my rigid swift. Is there a good combo out there that is light and strong that will also help in aiding a bit of comfort. Love my Swifts steel forks and really don't want to go back to suspension.

TIA

I use Marys - I found that with normal bars my wrists were aching when it got a bit rocky/bumpy

They suit me much better.

Fleegles for me. (I suppose a Mary without rise)

I've stuck to 25.4mm for now. Ideally I on-one did a 31.8mm in Ti anno and silver cnc stem I'd get them for aesthetic reasons

I'd still have mary bars on my ss but I NEED bar ends to get me up hills and the bar angle means "normal" bar ends stick out & catch on foliage too often

These back sweep/swept bars, are they comfortable? Do they affect the steering much?

Mary bars do seem to fleax a little more IME - I do like them. they affect jumping more than cornering again IME

Campfreddie, that's a great set-up you've got there.

I just use whatever's on it normally- Easton Haven bars and a Gusset stem, works very well.
