Ok, numpty question here.
Rockshox Revelation RLT 140mm currently with standard QR.
Hubs on wheels are Superstar Switch.
So if I wanted to run 9mm bolt-thru to replace the spindly QR's all I need to do is purchase:
9mm hub adapters?
9mm bolt thru axle?
Simply the 9mm bolt-thru is simplistically a thicker and theoretically stiffer QR?
Thanks!
Yes. the 9mm axle will sit in the dropouts and then done up in the same way as a standard qr.
I did this with a DT swiss rws, definitely made it stiffer
If you already run QR skewers you shouldn't need adaptors for the hub it will already be 9mm compatible (i.e. the hole the QR goes in will already be 9mm diameter) The adapters are to space larger (15 or 20mm axle) hubs down to 9mm.

Not my experience; QR spindles are 6mm max
Woops! You're right Nicko74. You will need an adaptor for your hub OP - the outer diameter of the axle on a standard QR hub is ~9mm not the diameter of the hole. Sorry ๐ณ
Yes, you just need the adaptors and axle from Superstar - the old adaptors just pop out and the new ones slot in. It's a good upgrade, way more solid the standard qr.
Got 9mm skewers on both my road and offroad wheelsets for my XC biased 456. Makes a noticable difference to the tracking of the 120mm SID's on there. I also prefer the way the qr axle fits the full width of the fork dropout so spreads any load a little better.
