I have some xt cranks (model before the newest ones), which were supplied as a triple chainset (9speed)
Planning on using these in a double and base set up...
Can i use this 10 speed mech ([url= http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=52285 ]LINK[/url] with the above crankset (double and bash) in a 9 speed set up?

Do you already have the mech? I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work. Just wind in the H limit screw enough so it stops at the middle ring.

nope i dont have the mech. looking for one that i can use that is direct mount and will work on a 9sp double set up
