[Closed] 888's rebound really slow... quick fix?

the rebound on my 888's is goosed whatever setting its on it is really slow....?

anyone know what may be wrong and if it can be sorted...or is it loco time!?

could try lighter weight oil in the damper ?

I don't think that's the problem, it was fine last week but now its goosed.

Maybe the adjuster is broken inside. Whip them apart and have a look they are probably v?ry simple inside. Or maybe the oil is just old and really thick so needs replacing.

yes the way it has suddenly just gone suggests a break....a little fettling is in order and some nice new oil....

What year are they? The internals of the old ones were really simple to work on. Not sure about the newer ones tho.

Could be that one of the glide rings round the piston has slipped. I'd not ride it till you've had it to bits, as that could score the stanchion.

thanks bw & iache im not going to ride it as its waaaay too slow to ride, they are '08 i think?

will strip them down during the week and if i get no joy then off to loco they'll go
