My neighbour is 82 and asked me what to do about his driving licence as it runs out in October, does he have to get a medical, or a re-sit of his test, or both? 8)

Just a medical I think.

Surely this isn't the first time his licence has run out - in which case if he can't remember what he did last time, the correct response is "hand it in".
