I'm thinking about getting a set of 700c disk wheels for my Roadrat so I can try it with conventional gearing instead of the Alfine currently fitted. Any advice on where to go for a reasonably priced (say under £200) set of disk wheels for it?
I just trawled about and got a reasonably cheap pair of xt centrelock hubs (they were cheaper than the 6 bolt alternative even including the cost of adaptors (Superstar for the cheapest ones)) and had them built onto A319 rims. Can't remember what it cost but should be within budget. Standing up to some proper abuse on my 29er too!
I'm interested too, was thinking of having a try at buiding my own but at 150 what are the on-ones like?

I got lifecycles to make me up a set of deore hubs with DT XR470 rims, def under £200
I've just built a set up with deore disk hubs and exal lx17 rims and mix of sapim double butted and superstrong spokes. Bought bits from spa in harrogate for just short of 105 quid
