Well the short of it is my boy's first venture into mtb, so got him a 650b hardtail, it came with Wtb wolverine tyres front and back, no idea about these tyres, any thoughts and feel he might need a grippy but light front tyre.

See how he gets on, give it a ride yourself and see what you think. A 2015 nobby nic could be a option if you think it needs something a 'bit more'.

Was thinking they looked very rear tyre specific, was concerned that if the front gives out might put him off totally, plus they are heavy, I'm trying to make it easier for him to stay upright. Was after the holy grail:
Light but grippy!
