Pearl Izumi Attack.

Nice fit, good quality, comfy and can be used all year round, although I tend to use shorts in summer.

Out of interest why would you want to wear 3/4 shorts when its warm? This is something I often wonder when I see people riding around in longs when its warm and sunny.

I passed a guy on Tuesday with longs on and it was 25 degrees and I often see a guy on my commute who always wears long. Mind you he wears a sky stop so is clearly trying to look 'pro'.

Anyway, I have some dhb ones that are pretty thin.

just get some knee warmers to go with your normal bibs

I have some Decathlon ones that are thin in a good way (the Endura ones I have are brushed inside so warm for summer)

Melanoma protection?

I wear white long sleeves in summer for the same reason.

I do it because I usually wear knee pads for big descents and they are comfier over 3/4s. If I'm not planning to wear pads on that ride shorts are fine but it's nice to have the option.
To the OP, Endura FS260s are pretty good.

I also wear a skins base layer under my short sleeve top in summer, as well as 3/4 bib's just to cover the skin from brambles, nettle stings and the obvious sun protection

I've got some lusso ones which are quite comfy, disappointingly the stitching is going after not a great deal of use, think they did had a period of rubbish QC a while back, my other lusso shorts last ages.

to keep covered up, thin lycra isn't exactly going to overheat you and it does offer protection from the sun. I quite often use 3/4ers (and sometimes long sleeve baselayers) when on long rides in sunny weather.

Top tip when applying sun cream to your legs be sure to go a little higher than you think necessary so when your leg gripers ride up ever so slightly you don't get a 5mm high line of sun burn around your calves ๐Ÿ™„
