weather lookquite warm for sunday, looked at some pics ont he 3 peaks website and there seems a mix of camelbaks and bottles.

Are there an water stationsor points you can top up bottles on the course, or are the 1 bottle folk getting fresh bottles from support cars in the allotted areas?

3 ltr camelback for me (and most of the soloists) there's nowhere to leave bottles on the course (unless you just hide them somewhere beforehand). Most of the riders with support will have their helpers pass them bottles at strategic points on the course like you mentioned

there's a drinks station at the bottom of whernside to grab a cup or two of water from the marshalls and usually some utter heroes who carry jerry cans of water halfway of pen y ghent too (thank them lots!)

plus you'll often get offers of water/whatever they've got with them from specators

2L Camelbak of water and a bottle of energy drink for me. No helpers although this year my girlfriend should be there so I'm hoping to persuade her for another bottle at Ribblehead.

Both times before when I've done it I'm down to the last dregs by the time I've reached PyG.

Use a CamelBak. there are water stations, but only a plastic cup full of water over the race isn't enough. I once changed camelBaks at Ribblehead viaduct, but usually kept the same one for the whole race. Only really changed cos I ran out of spare tubes.

Have fun.
