Just got back from the family holiday, which this year happened to be the Lakes. Managed to squeeze in a couple of rides but didn't take too many pics. Totally blown away by the riding and the scenery and have vowed not to return to the Alps until I have spent a week riding our own mountains. Here's a few pics, all at the NFT at Grizedale which I thought might be a good Lakes intro to the younger and older ends of the family.

Uncle Andy, North Shore Grandad (oldtimer of this parish) and the kid Harvey

Harvey rides the singletrack

Grandad nails the shore

Andy proves that he's an utter burk

Spent 2 weeks in the Lakes in Jul/Aug.
Grizedale was great for the family (biking and walking)
Did you get up to Whinlatter? Again - good for the family and I managed to sneak off and do the Red - utterly fantastic scenery and some awesome descents. Must work out how to show off pics on STW.
Got an OS map ride in too - hike a bike up Garbor pass and grin all the way down the other side.
