Someone has a very nice Christmas present of
Specialized Hard Rock Pro 2010 (Silver)
Orbea Aqua TTG 2012 (Blue and white)
Kona Dew Deluxe 2008 (Gold)
Elite Crono Fluid Turbo 2012 (Red and Black)

which were behind solid doors, locked in to wall anchors with good quality chains (although obviously not good enough) until yesterday, when some theiving scroat, smashed their way in and knicked them.

Live in York, not sure what else we could have done to prevent this, more than a bit fed up about it. I had only been out on the Orbea 3 times ๐Ÿ™

Feel for you sunshiner, i've had two attempts to break in our house and nick my new Trek and i live in York. It now lives in the house, locked to the radiator!
Whereabouts do you live? I'll keep my eyes out for you.

If you could email me the serial numbers, i'll check when i'm out recruiting for you and let the local Army Careers Office know as they've got a couple of MTBers who will keep an eye out aswell.

Thank you gunny! Seems to be a spate of bike thefts going on in our area from what we have heard today. We are in Heworth. Apparently there was a lot go during day light hours yesterday... I may be cynical but the schools were out because of the strike...

You're welcome, stinking wee buggers need to be caught.
I'm just round the corner from you off Malton Road. Bell (end) Farm at the back of us.
I'm pretty pally with the new CPSO and she's said that the bike gang has kicked up again.
Lost my Saracen Rufftrax II from my back door which was open during the 30 seconds i was in the loo a year ago. Had the back gate padlock jimmied off early Sunday morning and i nearly caught the buggers trying to break in through the french windows a night or two later.
Even caught some ned trying to pick my class 8 Kryptonite d-lock the other week. That was interesting!

could be worth having a word with these guys - Bike Rescue- see if they have been offered anything.

On the other hand I'll keep my eyes peeled in and around York for you.
