Can anyone please help as I may have made a bit of blunder.
I've bought a new SLX 2x10 38/24 crankset and wonder if I should have gone for a 38/26?
I have a ACL knee injury so I am prone to using the granny ring on a lot of climbs.
Also what would be the best cassette range for either crank?
Cheers
24 means you'll spin slightly more and have lower torque for the same speed. Which I guess is better for your knee?
An 11-36 cassette will give you an extra gear to use, whilst an 11-34 will shift ever so slightly smoother and be slightly lighter. I'd go 11-36 if you're on a double.
I think you've got the right one - sounds like 11-36 cassette for you too.
if you've bought i wouldnt worry, just keep it and try it, you can always change the grann later
agree with post above on rear cassette, just bear in mind when you are changing front and rear ratio's your rear mech capcity
