It's a shame I had some good warranty service from them on my Ibis. Hopefully support for their brands will be picked up and staff quickly find other jobs.

Sad to hear it 🙁 Distributors tend to be pretty invisible except for the wrong reasons, but 2pure were good 'uns. Do we still have forumites working there?

Shame to hear, but 2Pure had a strange approach to signing up LBSs. The nearest dealer to us was nearly 80 miles away, but they refused to supply our local shop unless they signed up to a 6 bike deal. Given where I'm based 6 bikes was never a goer for my low cal shop, Thought it would have been better to supply the local shop and get an Ibis out on local trails rather than not. Then about a month ago they dropped that to 2 bikes, but by that time we had gone for something different. 🙄 I hope Ibis US can service the UK market and provide adequate backup for current owners.

Always have had great service form the guys at 2Pure since owning a Mojo SL in 2009 through a Ripley v2 OG and now a Ripley v3LS. A real shame. Better get my clevis bushing kit quick I guess in time for its annual change.

I think some of it must be blamed on its b2b system. Honestly it would be hard to imagine a more intractable and difficult to use system. It certainly was enough to mean that I'd never consider buying stuff I didn't specifically have to buy from 2pure.

I did like the people though, sad to see them go (or not if someone buys them I guess)

The staff are fantastic. When I was starting up they went above and beyond to supply tools/workshop stuff as cheaply as they could to help me 👍 great bunch.
In the old days of Joplin seatposts I seemed to have a new one every 8 weeks!

Service was great. I know this because I still remember the name of the chap who helped after all these years. Jake Law.

Always struggled to find a clevis kit in stock though.

Ibis said they’ll be doing warranty etc direct from USA for now (in the industry tracker story)

I wonder if this includes Mark Downie? He ran a great shop in Edinburgh then moved into more IBIS based stuff. Jake looked after IBIS bikes too.

Jake is still very much around, currently he's 'Mr Vittoria' for Scotland and the North and he remains a damn fine chap.

Thanks Rick. I left there in September 2019.

I was aware Jake left a while back but he's the sort of chap who always deserves a name check!

Haha he's seen these posts on our WhatsApp chat. He's very appreciative.

We worked together for a long time and remain good friends. He's with Vittoria tyres now doing the same excellent job of being himself and sharing passion with people who love riding bikes.

I think I held the record for "quickest upgrade" in that shop! I went from an entry level Hardtail to a Mojo SL in less than a couple of months! A proud moment 😂

Did he pay you to say that?

I'd say I was lucky to have great people to work with. James, Ryan, Brad, Colin, Paul, Adam made it a great shop to visit. Plus we benefitted from amazing customers, truly they were brilliant.

Thread drift. As I say, I left 2p in 2019

There's good folk now out of a job which just plain sucks.
