Do 29ers "work" for larl folk? The reason I ask is I saw the bike pictured below on another forum. Its a very nice build but I cant see how the rider would actually be able to ride it properly - the bars are way higher than the seat to start with. Is there a cut off height where a 29er is too big? Can you actually ride them if you're short, or is it a case of just holding on and hoping for the best?

Looking at the size of that bike id be supprised if the riders 26" bike had bars any lower anyway. Im 6ft4 and the bars on my XC 29er are lower than some of my shorter mates 26" machines! its all about personal preference.
You could get lower than that if you wanted anyway, that stem hardly has any drop at all.
