[Closed] 29er, tubeless.. rim strips?

I've just got hold of a lovely 29er hardtail, and it's come with easton ea70xc wheels.

I did some hunting to get hold of some rim strips, and although the ones I bought didn't say they were compatible with my wheels, I thought, they must fit, they're just 29 inches.. surely??

Nope!

So the stans strips (£40 worth!!) are useless as they are nowhere near wide enough.

Can anyone point me to some that will fit? Or have I now gotta shed out on new wheels so that I can run tubeless..?

Cheers

A lot of people have been having success with gorilla tape, not that I've tried it myself

Gorilla tape works a treat for me, a 2" wide roll cut down the middle does around 10 wheels I reckon!

Thanks for everyones help, I ended up getting the tape from superstar, which is great but I need to drill the inner valve hole out to get the rim strip to seat flush as it sticks up slightly and is letting air out still.

Thanks again

I made use of some spare Stans 26er strips. Worked on my 29er wheels
