Hi all, looking saving up for a 29er race wheelset. So far Ive looked at Crank Brothers (read a lot of terrible things about them).

DT Swiss.. anybody here used them?

Or something like Chris King hubs on stans rims.

My budget is about 600 sterling, thats including the discount I get from working in a bike shop.

Cheers!

Am Classic are light but the bearings are not that durable. King Race Gold are very light but again, hubs not brilliant. DT 240 or King are both excellent hubs and would build a 'light enough' set with Crest rims and Competition spokes. I'd suggest not using Revs on a 29er wheel as they are very flexy.
