A friends numpty son came back to find his bike without wheels and 20mm thru axle off first gen Pikes, I can help out with some old 26"wheels and tyres but the axle is a different matter, shops are asking silly money for obsolete old stock. What are his options and will a maxle lite actually fit, the original axle had a qr nut at the end for adjustment.

Is it not the same axle as a current boxxer?

You could certainly interswap qr and non qr 29mm axles on old roxshox forks. Dunno if they stopped it

Don't think a Maxle will fit as you would need an appropriately threaded end nut.

Thought QR was a Marzocchi thing? Hangover of the QR20 era.

Can actually measure and compare a 2006 and 2017 Boxxer and both flavours of Marzocchi 32mm axle if it helps. But not till morning.

Mr Overshoot - if they work I'd gladly pay you some money for a pair for my DJ bike! The cheap forks currently on it have had it!

I've got a set of Marzocchi 55RC3Ti, one of 50 limited edition in 'Brian Lopez purple"

Also 20mm black SLX hub on white Stans flow rim, with matching QR rear wheel for £125.
All in excellent condition. Pm me
