Haul ass guys
no mercy
ya dancer
Geeez, brilliant
Back of the net!
****ing hell GB, did you HAVE to make it quite that nerve-wracking!!
OMG - a gap in the last lap, and they still did a WR!
I honestly thought they'd lost it when that gap opened up - who is the nails rider who managed to actually close it?
Phew. That was exciting
Crikey, that was too close for comfort.
Now 'that's entertainment'.
Is it safe to come out from behind the sofa yet?
Flipping hell, that was a nail-biter.
That was a calm, patient, mostly well calculated ride. Good work GB!! I was almost shouting at the tv.
GET IN!
Christ
that gap that opened up at the end nearly killed me - my heart's doing 460bpm!!!!
Fair play Aussie. I thought they'd go out fast to put pressure on and then tie up, but they nearly bloody held on.
I glad i didn't bet my house on it.
I think it took until about the last lap for Australia to park up - they must have lost a lot there despite the gap
That wasn't good for my AF!
Awesome
I headbutted the light fitting in the living room. Wow that was a thriller. Chuffed to bits for them.
Gosh, it wasn't supposed to be anywhere near that close
Did that chap shout "F*** yeah"?
I think it was doull that closed the gap.
The Aussies just did a time which would have been the world record this morning
Heroic effort from whoever was in third at the end there.
Phelps might have 22, but I'd far rather go for a beer with those 3 gents and their 'only' 16.
Phew!!
Did that chap shout "F yeah"?
F yeah he did.
Going to need some time to calm down before I can go to sleep after that.
I'd far rather go for a beer with those 3 gents
One does get the impression that the Three Sirs have bonded. That would indeed be a good night out!
Subtle (not) dig at Cav in the interview.
Subtle (not) dig at Cav in the interview.
Wasn't that more of a dig at the media, rather than Cav? Unless you are referring to something I missed.
Quite liked his impression of Philip Hindes running around showing people his medal. ๐
Sweet against the aussies
Jason Kenny's not far behind - wouldn't be surprised to see him with 7 medals by the end of next week. 4 gold and a silver so far........
And he's only 28. Chris Hoy was 36 in London 2012.
Wasn't that more of a dig at the media, rather than Cav? Unless you are referring to something I missed.
You could read it a couple of ways, but he was making it clear the commitment, time and effort that you need to get a top pursuit team together,so you can't just expect to parachute in to something like that last minute.
Heroic effort from whoever was in third at the end there.
Owain Doull. Got a bit ragged right at the end but that was one hell of a ride to pull it back.
Brad's interview at the end was quite amusing. ๐
Yeah, he is trying to get the Brad brand pumped back up ๐
Very grumpy to have missed that live :(. Sounded like a cracker
According to the BBC website, only Bradley Wiggins won gold ๐
According to the BBC website, [s]only[/s] Bradley Wiggins won his 8th [s]gold[/s] Olympic medal
Is it free beer at Senor_J's pub yet?
According to the BBC website, only Bradley Wiggins won his 8th gold
The headline says "Wiggins wins gold". There were three others in that team.
I prefer Sagan's antics when he celebrates a win.
I think the commentators get a bit carried away. Before the race he was "going for his 8th individual medal".
Nice that he shook hands with the Australians at the end.
