Help needed, whilst the old spicey shocks seem to be a different size the 2014 is the same length as the 2012 zesty 200x57. So would there be any reason I couldnt use this shock. Whilst im sure there must be some tuning difference, they seem to use a very similar 'lapierre' frame/shock leverage design. So I would assume in absence of an actual zesty shock this would be my best bet? I know it may not be perfect but surely it must be close. I havent really got the cash for a shock [u]and[/u] a tune. Thoughts very welcome.
I assume your current shock is dead?
I'm no expert but as far as I know they need to be the same eye to eye and then have the same stroke length. If not you will be changing the geo of the frame.
I bought the frame without a shock. Yes the eye to eye and length is the same. They are both 200x57. Both frames are OST lapierre design but must be a little different as they have 10mm different travel.
Does anyone have an knowledge on this?
