[#6972862]

My lbs has a 2014 Scott spark 760 on offer for £999.
It's 120mm travel front and rear.
Are they any good?
To race orientated?
Would I feel under bikes at trail centres?

I mainly ride natural moors, tail centres(hamsterley)
I want a bike that goes up as easy as down.
Little bits of air but no silly big drop offs. Just what the black trails throw at you.

Would I be better with a genius?

It's more XC than other things, not had the chance to ride one but that has more to do with deciding never to bother with Scott after their magic really complicated proprietary shock crap. Check the seat drop if that's an issue as the bend down there will limit the seat post travel.

The spec looks poor though, Alivo shifters, Octalink cranks and 9sp drive train. I can see why it's discounted but should be a lot more off it IMHO.
