As mentioned above I am looking for some new bearings and all ii can tell is that the headset is Aheadset make and the bearings are the ball bearing type that fir in a "cage" if that helps. Anyone know where best to get them from?

a local bike shop will be able to sort you out with some no problem - just take an old bearing in with you so you get the right size

also bear in mind that often upper and lower bearing are a different size.

They are a different size i know that as i have had them out on a regular basis to re-grease. Will call the LBS and ask them.

Just called DNA cycles in Maidenhead and they want £30 for the top and bottom bearing... is that about right...seems allot to me but maybe I’m just out of touch.

Way to much £30.
Off the top of my head think they are 1 1/8" 36 x 45 degree bearings - like these:

I can check tonight as a have an 07 Reign frame.

Sorry did not read your post properly!! 😳

Would it not be better to just get a new sealed A-Headset

No that's the whole thing - not much to these integrated headsets.
Basically 2 angled bearings, crown race, wedge washer/spacers, top race cover.
