bikes been hung on a hook in the garage over winter and ridden a few times this week today i noticed again the rebound is really slow / sticky
ive de pressurized the forks and then re pressurized and pumped the forks but its still sticky / slow
any ideas ?? or is a service calling ?
I'd start with an oil change if they were mine.
Cheers Onzadog
to be fair the forks are well loved but a service is prolly due !
Might be worth putting the bike upside down for an hour or so, all the lube oil on the forks has likely settled at the bottom of the lowers and let the upper bushes and foam rings dry out, thus minimal lubrication.
If that makes llittle difference I'd go for a full clean and service.
Might also be worth setting the rebound to minimum to see if it actually makes a difference.
will give it a try bigyinn
the seals /foam rings should be lubed with the angle the bike sits at on the hook
Service is prolly due .....
Could be no oil left in forks? Service time i think regardless.
