Hi,

I've just installed a 1x9 set up on my bike with a superstar plasma chain device and an E13 37T chainring, i've just taken it out for a test ride and i'm getting quite a bit of chain suck. I can't work out what i've not done/done wrong. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Is your Chain length Ok adjusted to 1 x 9 from your previous set up?

Cassette and chain are both new and the front chainring has had a slight bit of use, the chain seems to be the correct length with not to much sag in smallest and still an obvious bend in the chain when in the largest which is why i'm at a loss as to what is wrong with it...

single crack is your jockey wheel aligned correctly with the smallest cog look from the rear and adjust screw to align, if its a bit off you can get the chain climbing.

short or long cage length ? I went from a long to a short and solved a lot of my chain bounce / suck / drop issues.

Also erred on the side of short when setting chain length as well ... 32 tooth front to big rear with one extra link.
