Building a gravel bike and want to run 1x11with hydraulic brakes. (With mtb 11/42 casstte)
What options are there ?
Force cx1 works with an xtr 11-40 cassette.
Not sure two teeth would be worth worrying about if you have a 40 chainring
double post
Cheers I'll take a look.
I'm running Force CX1 with 10/42 at the back.
Can't fault it at all.
my charge plug came with Sram rival CX 11 speed with an 10-42 cassette.
So far it's been faultless, even the hydros are really good.
In fact I've just thought of one negative point with the CX1, replacement brake pads are bloody expensive, at least the genuine SRAM ones are.
I've just ordered some Uber pads though and hopefully they'll be just as good but about quarter of the price.
Just building mine up with rival shifters/mech/brakes force cranks running absolute black 38t oval and XT 11-42 cassette, ill let you know at weekend once built how it runs
If you've got the budget, you can run mtb gears with an 11sp tanpan?

Have seen the tanpan
Have you seen one in use
Force CX1!
I'm running Di2 with Ultegra shifters and an XTR rear mech - works spot on. Wouldn't be any problem to change to the hydraulic R785 shifters. Used a triple chainset with a RaceFace thick/thin chainring.
Just finished this and first ride tonight, running 1x11 with Sram force Carbon cranks, sram rival, shifter/mech and XT 11-42 cassette and shifting was superb
