Well as preparation for this i thought i'd go out and give myself a bit of a push.

59 mins later and an average of 13.1mph on the dirt and i'm pretty knackered... pushed myself pretty hard on the hills.

According to Endomondo that was my PB for a 10 mile sector. Got to be fairly happy with that

Average HR of 149bpm and a max of 174bpm (bit disappointed in 174 to be honest).

P.S, where's Molgrips ?

Tough ride today at Swinley... i'm bloody knackered now. Not sure i'm actually ready for next Sunday.

Just fitted some new rubber to the rear of the Giant, a Maxxis Aspen. Comes in on the scales at 250gr lighter than the Hans Dampf (which i absolutely ADORE by the way).

I've just ordered a tyre i've never actually heard of for the front

Rebena Scylla. 2.25. They come in at 540gr (which is 425 less than the Hans Dampg and 145 lighter than the Aspen even !!!)

The write ups on them are excellent and the weights seem to be accurate.

Might as well give myself as much of a chance and as the weather is looking dry, the trails are already dry, i guess i want the fastest and lightest rubber on there i can possibly fit.
