my memory is failing..... and many years since i ran narrow rims.
just wondering what is the max tyreย for a 19mm internal rim widthย ?
mtb tyre.
I'm currently running 2.2 Forekastors in mine. Sure I've had 2.35 in them ok one year. All fine for me 👍
I used to run them with mostly with 2.1" & 2.2"... I think, 23mm external.
We've run 2.4" on our Hope Tech XC rims without detriment to our wellbeing 😊
But more commonly we'd use 2.25".ย
This WTB chart gives you a rough guide of what is optimal, compatible and not optimal (doesn't mean not possible).

Max permissible will be around 2.5"... But that is far from optimal.
More realistically something like a 2.2-2.3" is going to be more manageable and not want to roll so much, but given 19mm internal is narrower than many road bike rims these days, I'd suggest the narrower you can get away with the better within reason...
2.2 is ideal really..ย ย ย ย thanks gents.
