It's that age old tale. Somebody at work wants a MTB. They know i'm a cyclist and draft me in to find one for them. £200 to spend.

I found this, and although I have never heard of the brand, the finishing kit seems pretty good for the money.

are they looking for a mountain bike or a "mountain bike shaped object"

if its the former then tell them it will last a few months, get them hooked, fall appart and be the begining of a long and expensive hobby.

if its the latter for comuting get a secondhand carrera subway, give it a good service, s/h SDG bel air/charge spoon (if its a bloke) and give him the rest as change.

Specs a lot better than the one you found, but probably bit heavy, and small. Fine if their commute involves a BMX track and a skate park 🙂
